Traveling to Monterrey
Before planning your trip to Monterrey (for out of town patients) there are some things that need to be done before hand. The first step is to set up a phone consultation with Dr. Roberto Rumbaut. He will review your medical history, eating and exercise habits to determine the best procedure for your particular case.
Once you have been cleared for surgery, your patient coordinator will contact you with available dates. Once a date has been set you will be asked to fill out a detailed online medical history form and will be sent additional surgery information. You will be asked to read and study all the information to prepare you for the big day.
Some important details that must be considered before planning your trip are:
General Information:
• Pre-operative tests are performed in Monterrey the morning before surgery, so you should arrive before 12:00 noon.
• Patients on international flights should plan to arrive to the airport 3 hours before departure, for national flights 2 hours are required (international passengers require airplane ticket and your passport, national passengers require airplane ticket and an official ID)
• We recommend having our office contact information as well as the hotel’s details on hand.
• There will be a driver at the airport to transfer you from the airport to the hotel or pre-operative tests, depending on your schedule (the “Suburban S.A.” driver will have a sign with your name.)
• The hotel offers free transportation within a radius of 16 km (includes hospital and office). Please reserved in advance.
